Meet Our New Yoga Teachers!

We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve expanded our UTKATA family and welcomed two new members: Hayley and Jacey. Devoted, kind and friendly yoga teachers, these two amazing ladies are dedicated to the UTKATA mission of infusing the sedentary 9-5 with accessible, fun, and rejuvenating movement through chair yoga. They are looking forward to meeting all of you, and in the meantime, you’re welcome to meet them:

Hayley has a passion for spreading her love of yoga to everyone. Originally from Victoria, BC, Hayley grew up as a dancer and theatre kid. She studied theatre at the Canadian College of Performing Arts and has been working as an actor, performer and theatre instructor ever since.
Hayley has been practicing yoga for over ten years and with a desire to share the benefits she experienced from yoga she received her yoga instructors certification from the Yoga Sanctuary in Toronto. She currently teaches yoga at various gyms and studios around the GTA. Her classes are welcoming and encouraging to all.

Having no idea what yoga was, a friend recommended yoga to Jacey in 2014 when she was out of options on how to stay fit. After a few short months of practice she realized yoga would play a huge role in her life. It has made her aware of her thoughts, emotions and actions and the effect they have on her, others and the universe.

Jacey wanted to learn more about herself and the practice, so she enrolled in De La Sol’s 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training. During the training, she quickly realized she was meant to share the experience of yoga with others.

Jacey practices and teaches to shine awareness on all aspects of life. She believes yoga gives us the tools we need to truly be present and to remember why we are here; To love, be love and be loved.
